Duk Gear is a company that cares about the environment, specifically with keeping our waters clean. To them, clean water is the foundation for healthy and prosperous communities and wildlife. Duk Gear designs it products to protect your gear while protecting our planet. They put their money where their mouth is by donating a portion of their profits to 1% for the Planet.
Duk Gear sent me a few items to test out, including the DUKCap – with its included tether, you’re likely to never lose another hat!
With the olive color and minimalist style, it has a slightly military feel to it. Besides standard hat features like an adjustable strap and bill for shading purposes, it also has a hidden zipper pocket where you can keep the detachable leash or carry your ID, money, or other small items.
Very comfy and fits a variety of ages and head sizes. Repels water initially (never wore it long enough to soak through), so it’s a good choice to take into the water.
The DUKPouch is an oversized and waterproof cell phone pouch that floats, pretty much assuring the protection of your phone while on the water. It also protects your mobile devices from water, dirt, sand, and snow, so more to it than meets the eye. Oversized to fit even bigger phones, there’s also sufficient space to throw in your wallet or ID and money or credit card. The bright color on my sample made it easy to spot, even in whitewater at the beach.
Something I’ve long wanted to try was the DUKLounge. This floating beach sofa is made of durable rip-stop nylon and has a 200 kg/440 lb maximum load, so you can share with friends. It’s really simple to inflate (no pump needed!). Need to be hands-free while you float? The DUKLounge has a couple of pockets built in for mobile devices, books, etc. (just make sure they’re also protected from the water!).
Duk Gear makes your water time more enjoyable with waterproof floating products. Enjoy them knowing that your purchase is also going to a good cause.
