Spray, wipe, go.
That was the description I was given for this product by President and CEO of Sven Can See, Scott Newman. Easy enough, and key to have my 6-year-old be able to do it himself. Since he wears glasses full-time, there are many times when his eyewear fogs up and he doesn’t want to wear it.
You might be wondering who Sven is. Sven was a bedtime story told by the company’s founder to his daughter when she was younger. Sven and Chuck The Goat climbed mountains and needed to prepare for cold weather hikes. Sven would often run into the same problem that many outdoor enthusiasts encounter: frosted goggles. And thus, a product name was born.
Sven Can See really is as simple as spray, wipe, go. Clean your eyewear, then spray the gel on both the inside and outside of the lenses (except for dive masks, haha), rub, and you are good to go. Each application is promised to last all day, which seem to be borne out by our experience. Each package is supposed to provide 50 uses, but I’m sure that’s very dependent on how you spray – our tube is still going strong after many, many uses, but we haven’t been counting.
Minimal odor, no alcohol, and biodegradable, this is definitely not a product I would worry about my kids using.
Sven Can See can be used on non-prescription and tinted glasses, along with pretty much every other type of lens you can think of. We used it on my son’s bifocals most of this Winter, on ski goggles during the kids’ Spring Break skiing, and I’ll be using this on my dive mask this Summer (Lake Michigan is FULL of shipwrecks).
It’s nice to find a product that fulfills our family’s need, is safe for the kids to use, and really works. If you ever worry about eyewear fogging up, grab some Sven Can See – just spray, wipe, go.
