Blankets are a good thing. Ones that can be used outdoors are even better. When Montem reached out with an offer of a sample to review, I jumped at the chance. We used this blanket all Summer, from cool evenings in a hammock to campfires on the beach and now for early season soccer games.
The name itself is fun. Montem Sneaky Snuggler Puffy Camping Blanket. Sounds like a blanket you want to have.
Made of 20D Ripstop Nylon with DWR, it has a 3D Hollow Fiber Synthetic Insulation fill that gets it a temp rating of 40°+. It isn’t heavy, around 3 pounds, but it has a pleasant heft to it and is sized for one large person or maybe two smaller folks cuddling.
I initially wasn’t sure I liked it because the material is so slick, that the blanket kept sliding off of me as I napped on the couch. Washing and drying it once took care of that. I appreciate that this blanket can take the abuse of a regular washer and dryer.
Up for a vote is the only color option: ‘Murica (Slate with Red Trim). I don’t mind it and it goes with everything, but it would have been nice to have a pop of color. Of course then stains and dirt show up more readily, so that’s the tradeoff.
This is nice to have around the house and in the car, for use as needed. It will also be a great addition to winter camping in the back of my wagon – much less restrictive than a sleeping bag but plenty warm overnight.

Another blanket I love and is quite difference than this one is Mountain Hardwear Hotbed Ember Camp Quilt.
