weBoost Drive Sleek Review

weBoost Drive Sleek

Perfect timing to get a sample of the new weBoost Drive Sleek to review! With the move of the Midwest Basecamp World HQ to a small community near Lake Michigan, my cellular signal has decreased significantly. In the house, I use my wi-fi to boost my cell service, which allows me to actually call people.

Signal boosters like the Drive Sleek do something similar while you’re in the car by increasing cell signals using a powerful antenna, amplifying the signals with a booster, and then sending the boosted signals back to the cell tower.

Benefits of the weBoost Drive Sleek include an extension of your phone’s cellular signal range, a more reliable signal, more consistent data speeds (faster data downloads!), and additional talk time when you’re in weak-signal areas.

According to weBoost, placing your phone in the cradle provides up to 32 times better cell coverage, which results in faster data speeds, clearer calls and even better battery life in weak-signal areas. Anything that saves battery life is a good thing, especially when you are far away from civilization.

weBoost Drive Sleek Installation Overview
Routing the cables is the hardest part of setup

Buying is easy and so is setup.  The outside antenna sticks to the roof with a super strong rare earth magnet, or use an adhesive disk  for non-magnetic roofs. The outside antenna is connected to the booster which connects to the cradle. Everything is powered through the lighter outlet in your car. Install in the vehicle, place your phone in the cradle, and you’re good to go!

….and once again, the signal booster worked! The Drive Sleek boosted both my ATT and Verizon iPhones from 1 bar to 3, which is pretty awesome. Slightly less favorable results (from 1 bar to 2 on both phones) came when I placed the phones in the cradle with their cases on. Still, doubling the bars isn’t bad at all.

The innovative cradle design can hold phones up to 7.5 inches long and as small as 5.1 inches. I use two iPhones, a 6S and an 8Plus. Both of them fit without issue in the expandable cradle, even in their armored cases.

The Drive Sleek is compatible with all US cellular networks including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Straight Talk and more. Like all weBoost products, the Drive Sleek comes with a 2-year warranty and 30-day money back guarantee.

This is the 3rd time I’m reviewing a weBoost cellular signal booster, and I’m amazed at the progress they keep making. Each iteration, from the Sleek 4G to the Drive 4G-X to this Drive Sleek, the product gets better, smaller, and looks better. Read the other reviews to see the changes.
